Why We Created This Scholarship
The IMperfeKtlymade Foundation created the Visionary Scholarship to support legally blind students pursuing careers in fashion, design, and other creative industries. Through this scholarship, we invest in future innovators whose creativity, determination, and unique perspectives are helping shape a more inclusive world.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can vocational students apply? Yes. The IMperfeKtlymade Visionary Scholarship is open to blind students enrolled in an accredited college, university, trade school, vocational program, or certification program related to fashion, design, merchandising, textiles, or a closely related field. Applicants must meet all other eligibility requirements outlined in the scholarship guidelines.
Can I submit photography? Yes. Photography may be submitted if it demonstrates your creativity, artistic vision, and connection to fashion, design, or visual storytelling. We welcome a variety of creative mediums and encourage applicants to showcase their talents in the format that best represents their work.
How will winners be notified? Applicants will be notified of their selection by email. Scholarship recipients will also be recognized during the IMperfeKtlymade Foundation Fashion Show on October 24, 2026. Please ensure that all contact information provided on the application is accurate and up to date.
Can I submit digital artwork? Yes. Applicants may submit original sketches, digital designs, illustrations, mood boards, technical drawings, or other creative portfolio pieces that showcase their talent, creativity, and passion for fashion or design. All submitted work must be the applicant’s original creation.
Who reviews scholarship applications? Applications are reviewed by a scholarship selection committee chosen by the IMperfeKtlymade Foundation. Committee members evaluate each application based on eligibility, creativity, academic and career goals, personal statement, and the overall quality of the submitted portfolio. All applications are reviewed fairly and confidentially.
